- Decide on the time line. When do you want to start your masters? Which year and semester?
- Financial Preparation

ReplyDeleteam studying b.tech final yea(ece).I want to do ms in us so please tell me the procedure now what should I do and for to ms how much money required plssss suggest me
ReplyDeleteThis page may have outdated information. Anyways all the best for your MS application process. Regarding money, it depends on university and location where you decide to study. It can vary drastically. Typically you would need to show cash to fund your first year of study and source of funds for the remaining period of study. This info is obtained from what I have heard from people from different forums.
Deletehi,
ReplyDeleteplzz help, i need to know that what to do at my situation , im pursuing b-tech 3rd year that is 3-2, stream mech . so help me should i write gre after 3-2. and what to do next . i wanna do the process by my self not by any consultancies .......
what is 3-2? Sorry, I dont understand.
Deletehai...how can i do ms at the end of my b.tech final year???
ReplyDeleteyou will have to start applying at the end of b.tech 3rd year.
Deletewe have to write both gre and toefl ???? or either gre / toefl ???
ReplyDeleteYou have to write both GRE and TOEFL. But there may be universities which I am not aware of that require only one of them. Please check the requirements of the university you are interested in.
DeleteAll the information were very useful so far. I just want to try my luck.so, can I take the test first and then decide on choosing the university according to the score or should I shortlist the university prior to my test and bring it to their notice before taking the test?
ReplyDeleteIf that is allowed can you please mention where I can register for the test (GRE)
Thank You.
Sorry for the delayed response. I believe you will be allowed to report the scores to some universities (for free) immediately after the test. So it would be better to shortlist the universities based on the practice test scores. Usually the practice test scores few days before the actual test will be very close to the actual score.
DeleteYou can register for GRE test here

All the best for your MS application process.
I am in BSC (CS) last year...I will complete my course in July. .can I do MS in session of 2015
ReplyDeleteSorry, could not reply you on time. Were you able to pursue MS this year?
DeleteHello, Where can I get the details of universities? What are the key factors to keep in my in mind while selecting the university?
ReplyDeleteKey factors to keep in mind would be your goal and area of interest.
DeleteIf your main goal is to get good job prospects - universities near the industry would be good. But if you go to the top universities, the location does not matter. You affordability also plays a role. See if you can cover the university tution fees, living expense. Some universities might offer tution waivers or discounts on case by case basis. Check with current students about the living expenses. If money is not a problem, and if you think you have good profile to get in top school, aim for them and keep a couple of less ranked universities located near companies in your field of study.
Thank u for sharing good information
